FMS #66

Hi Stampers, I am back with another card before I head off to organise some dinner for us all. For this design I have used the latest Freshly Made sketch for my card...sadly it has come to that time where this is the last sketch from team for 2012. Thanks for the great sketches ladies and can't wait to see the first one for 2013!! Again, I have used one the flowers I made using my Starbursts from Lindy's Stamp Gang...this colour was Tibetan Poppy Teal..I like this colour and gravitate to it all the time. I also sprayed the card lightly with it too. Well, I am off...I hope the rest of your day/evening goes well, until next time, happy stamping!!

Sketchbook Saturday #85

Hello my blogger friends....how are your Christmas preparations going? I am pretty much organised, so much so I spent most of yesterday just surfing the blogs of some of the talented ladies out there...I NEVER get time to do that so needless to say I had some serious fun yesterday. LOL!! it's funny what makes a person happy!!  Anyway, I visited Christina's blog where she gave a tutorial on making tattered flowers so I gave it a go and here are a couple I made that I have put on my latest card. So, back to my card...this design is over on Sketchbook Saturday, pop on over and check it out...I actually flipped my card because I didn't want to cover up my embossed flower and the lovely circle die is courtesy of my good friend Robyn who is travelling across the bottom of Australia at the moment as she & her hubby make their way back to Queensland....yippee.... not quite back to Townsville but close enough that we should get to see each other a bit more. Every month Robyn sends me a card to say 'hello' and this months card had some little die cuts in it for me, thank you Rob. Well, I will stop 'talking' now, as always thanks for stopping by.

Seize the Birthday Linky Party

Hi All, I was sitting at my desk surfing the stamping blogs when I came across Cecilia's Cards. She had made a lovely card for a previous Retro Challenge that gave me inspiration to make this card. If you haven't heard, there is a new blog starting up called Seize the Birthday and to celebrate they are having a linky party so make sure you pop on over and check it out. I have posted a previous card I made and today I'm going to post a new card. It feels good to make a non Christmas card and I have already started planning what cards I will need for upcoming birthdays so I am prepared for the first few months of the year....can you believe it is 13 years since the turn of the century???? Sometimes it feels like only yesterday.....

DS #81

Hi Fellow Bloggers...well it's a lazy Sunday afternoon here at our house so I've snuck out to post this card that I finished earlier. I have used the latest design from Deconstructed Sketch for probably my last Christmas card for 2012. This is the second 'tag' card I have made in the last couple of weeks and as I've said before..I don't really do 'tags' but apparently I do!! <grin>
So, I am off to have a 'nanna nap', recharge my batteries for tonights events. My brother in-law turned 50 today so we are going out to celebrate with the families and tomorrow night we will be going out again as we have just been invited out for our neighbours birthday, he turns 65 tomorrow. All these parties and they aren't even Christmas parties!! As always thanks for stopping by..until next time, happy stamping.

Seize the Birthday 'Linky Party'

Hi All, when I saw that Lesley was starting a 'Birthday' Blog called Seize the Birthday..I was excited!! To celebrate the 'opening' she wants us to post a birthday card (new or old) for the Linky Party and I thought (mistakenly) I have lots of birthday cards so went looking for one and it ended up being a lot harder than I thought because even though I have made a lot of them for birthdays not many of them actually had Happy Birthday on them!! LOL!! Anyway here is my card for the party and look forward to checking out every ones entries..make sure you check out the new blog and I am looking forward to joining in regularly.

JAI #148 + The Shabby Tearoom #144

Back with one more card for today...I just had an urge to use my distress inks with a simple stamping of trees. I like how the background turned out...it looks like there is a bit of a blizzard happening...that is definitely not happening here in Northern Australia!! LOL!! The Shabby Tearoom has a lovely picture for colour inspiration and Just Add Ink want you to Just Add Christmas so make sure you check them out. Well I am off to go and visit my baby nieces, hope your day/night is awesome. Thanks for stopping by.

Woohoo!! I am on 4 weeks holidays and the first thing I have done is sit down and make a card!! Another chrissie card...it's amazing how many you end up needing even when you don't 'do' many but I must admit this year it hasn't been a chore to make them thanks to all those awesome Challenge Blogs out there to give you inspiration. For this card I have used the latest Cas(e) this Sketch, for colour I have used the latest combo over on The Paper Players and over on Just Add Ink....it's Just Add Christmas which is not hard to do at this time of year!! Thanks for stopping by and if all goes according to plan..I will be back tomorrow!! See you then!!

ISSC #44 + C4C #165 + DD #31

Hi Stamping Friends....well I know I said I was going but something caught my eye before I logged off so here I am with another card!! My good friend Robyn made a card a little while ago with one of these snowmen on it and I just had to have a go! Here is the link to check out Robyn's card. For this card I have used the latest design that is happening over on I Spy Sketches  and for colour I have chosen the latest colour combo from Dynamic Duos and it just so happens that over on Crazy 4 Challenges they want a snowman!! I don't usually 'do' snowmen as we live in the tropics and I have never even been in snow for me to have a chance to even have the chance to build one..but I thought he was really cute so I had to make one and here he is. Well this time I am going because I know the fairies are not doing my ironing for me, so enjoy the rest of your weekend and bye for now.

Hi All, for todays card, I have used the latest challenge from CAS(E) this Sketch. Clean and simple...love it!! Once again I have gotten inspiration from Silke, she just does the CAS look to perfection and I love how she is using her colours to just complement the white of her cards....sorry Silke, I'm not stalking you...LOL!! Anyway, that's probably it for me for a few days as I have to go and do some housework then off to work tomorrow. I hope you have a great week and are getting on top of all that Christmas shopping. Thanks for stopping by...

Fab Friday #07

Hi Stamping Friends, I am back with my second card (which was actually my first card for the day). This sketch is the latest one over on Fab Friday. I have to admit that I absolutely looooved Silke's card and have used her design for my card. Silke's cards are always stunning and I just love the simplicity of them too.
Well, that's it for me today, my beautiful daughter has started cooking dinner for us so I should go in and help and then after dinner we are putting our Christmas tree and decorations up. I ended up having an eventful afternoon because as I was skyping with my good friend Robyn as we made our cards, my finnish penpal got online so I was able to have a chat with her too which we haven't done for a while...it was a good end to my day, even if it went quickly. I hope your Saturday is going well and until next time...happy stamping.

Sketchbook Saturday Challenge #84

Hi Stamping Friends, today has gone so fast I just don't feel like I have done anything!! But in saying that I have made two cards. This card I have made for my daughter who turns 15 on Thursday. I have made my background using some of my new Distress Inks which I am just loving right now!! I don't usually 'do' tags but I like it when I am forced outside of my comfort zone which over on Sketchbook Saturday the latest design has a tag on it...so I have a tag!!

WMSC#125

Hi Blogger Friends, I have finally got around to finishing my card for the latest Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge. I have never participated in their sketches as I don't have any Waltzing Mouse stamps but I read the other day that you can use any stamps now but the would like you to use Waltzing Mouse stamps if you have them. I really liked this layout and once again I have dabbled with my Distress Inks to make my background which has turned out really nice. Sadly...or maybe not...this just encourages me to buy more Distress Inks...lol... As always, thanks for stopping by.

ISSC#43 + Timeless Tuesday #196

Hi Fellow Bloggers, well this is my last card for the day. It is 11pm so I think it is time for bed....but before I go I just need to post this card...lol. For this card I have chosen to use the latest I Spy Sketch for my design and over on Timeless Tuesday they have asked for a card that makes you happy. Well this card definitely makes me happy for a few reasons...I am finally getting the hang of these Tim Holtz Distress Inks which I have used to make my background. I have also used some new flourish stamps that I can see becoming a firm favourite and I have had my first attempt at Liquid Pearls that I think worked out well for my first try and...I really like this card!! I think the soft colours and the soft stamping in the background have turned out really nice...what do you think? As always, thanks for stopping by and I hope the rest of your weekend is awesome!! Until next time...happy stamping.
                          Happy!
