Happy Birthday Bouquet

As 2018 rapidly approaches so do next years birthdays. For this card I have used a floral set from Altenew, these flowers are rapidly becoming a favourite. I stamped some flowers on the corners then pop dotted 3 of them to give the card some dimension, stamped a sentiment and added some bling.

For today's card, I am adding it this challenge:

Peace Love Joy

It's been a while since I have posted and the irony is that I didn't make half the amount of Christmas cards that I usually make for Christmas this year and yet my first card in ages is a Christmas card for the 2018 Festive Season! My mojo is that low, I have been struggling to be creative for months now.Today I have cased Kim's card, Kim is one of the DT members at Freshly Made Sketches and I just loved her card, thanks for the inspiration Kim as I needed it. I hope you have all had a very Merry Christmas and wishing you all the best for 2018.

Squiggly Christmas

I really need to get my Christmas card stash growing, so I'm glad to be adding another one to it. In Australia we don't really 'do' Halloween so I took up the challenge to use those colours for another theme and this is what I came up with. I made the background with DI as well as the card that I cut the Christmas tree from.
I layered it onto some black card to give it a frame and then stamped my sentiment and added some sequins to finish.

Monochrome Many Messages

Another Christmas card for my stash. For todays card, I used a set of die cuts & stamps that came off a magazine. I really like them and can see me using them a lot more. I have gone with a monochrome of purples layered over an embossed panel.

I am adding my card to the following challenges...

Birthday Blush

I made this card with my daughter in mind. I have layered some die cut flowers over a DI background with DI text and finished it off with a sentiment and some pearls.

Happy Thoughts

Another card for my stamping Saturday...I made this CAS card background using Alcohol Inks on photo paper. I then added a sentiment and finished it off with some tiny punched flowers with pearls in the centre. I'm adding this card to the following challenges...

Especially for You

This is my first card for about 6 weeks, I've really lost my mojo of late but I just loved Karen D's card (see here) so much so, I cased it. I taped off the edges of my main layer and sponged the background lightly with DI's 'Broken China' then stamped my image with the same DI, restamping it a couple of times to make it stand out, then I finished it off with a new sentiment. Happy 21st Birthday

This card I have made for my son who will be turning 21 next week. I really liked Shawna's card from the DT at The Male Room that I just had to case it with my twist to her card. I die cut some hexagons out of 3 different colours then arranged them so that some were off the page, stamped a birthday sentiment and added a die cut 21. A nice simple but effective card for my baby who will be 21 soon...where have the years gone???
I am adding my card to the following challenges:

The Male Room: TMR#62 - Off the Edge

Star in my Pocket: Make it for a Man

Craft Rocket Challenge: For the Men/Boys

Have a great week,

Floral Spray

I made this background a while ago using photo paper and DI's. I love this colour combo as I find it is so fresh. I used a floral spray stamp that I love but haven't really used very much, I love that there is a lot of image but it's not too 'in your face'. I die cut a 'happy' in white & black card and mounted them just off centre from each other and added a small 'birthday' underneath.

Pretty in Pink

Well it's been a while since I've had a play day in my craft room and thank goodness it was a very creative one as I had 3 birthday cards to make. My first one is for my SIL, I saw a beautiful card that Erum made for Altenew, which I have cased view card here. I absolutely adore Erum's colour pallet but I chose to go with a soft pink. I am adding my card to the following challenges...

Christmas in the Hills

My last card for my stamping Saturday, I painted this background with watery Distress Inks using a paper mask to make my hills. I then used a pine tree to create some interest to my scene. I then double cut my sentiment and off set the layers so it looks like snow on the sentiment as well. As you can see, the grass is starting to poke through as the snow melts which works beautifully with the latest prompt from CASology.

Mr & Mrs

The third card on my list of cards to make today...this one is for my cousin and her soon to be husband. I have part embossed my card then popdotted some flowers randomly of the embossing. I also scored the edge of the embossing just to neaten the edge and finished if off with some blue pearls (the colour of her bridesmaid) and put a small sentiment in the bottom corner. I'm adding my card to the following challenges....

Starry Birthday

Another 21st Birthday card but this time I didn't add a 21. I die cut the 'happy' and the stars then filled the cut outs with glittery DP cut from the same dies. I then stamped 'birthday' underneath to finish it off. I'm adding my card to the following challenges...

Woodgrain Birthday

It's good to be at my desk for a play day and as it so happens I have a list of cards that I need to make and this is my first card for the day. I have used some of my DP stash for my woodgrain background which I die cut the Happy Birthday out of. I also cut the top off to just give it a little something else, then I mounted a 21 to finish it off. No stamping today but that happens some days. Thanks for stopping in, I'm adding my card to the following challenges...
